BACKED AWAY FROM: to withdraw. The adminstration has backed away from the plan.
BANG OUT/AROUND/AWAY:make loud noise. He banged out the door with a stick.
BLOW AWAY/OFF/OUT: damage or destroy. The explosion blew off the hill instantly.
HACK AWAY/AT:cut into pieces violently. They hacked away bushes.
NUDGE AWAY/TOWARDS: push someone gently with your elbow. He nudged the
woman away in the crowd.
PASS AWAY/ON/OUR:to die. He passed away last night of cancer.
RIDE AWAY/ACROSS/BACK:ride an animal and move. He rode away across the forest.
RINSE AWAY/OUT: wash with clean water to remove soap, dirt etc. Take
these clothes and rinse out.
SEND AWAY/FOR/OFF:send money,coupen etc. I sent away one of my boys
for the free gift.
SHEER AWAY/OFF:to change direction suddenly. The ship sheered off to the light.
SHRINK AWAY/BACK/IN:move away from something or somebody. She shrank
back frightened. child shrank away in horror.
WHIP  AWAY/OFF/OUT: move or remove something with a violent movement.
The man whipped out a knife.
