GO BEFORE: precede, happened earlier. Pride goes begore a fall.
GO BEFORE: officially dealt with. The matter will go before the board
of experts.
LIE BEFORE: going to happen in future. Who knows what lies before?
PUT BEFORE: put infront of somebody. She put breakfast before him.
PUT BEFORE: put facts etc before somebody. The secratery put the
summary of the report before the chairman.
PUT BEFORE: give more importance to something than to another. You
should put your duties before your rights.
JUST AFTER/BEFORE/OVER:only a short time after, before etc. The doctor
came in just after the patient had died.
