(Preposition)BEHIND

FALL BEHIND: remain behind, lag behind. She gradually fell behind
other in the race.
GET BEHIND: be lift behind in your work. She got behind in her course at school.
HIDE BEHIND: conceal your real feelings. She hid her emotion behind a
stern face.
LAG BEHIND: move or progress slowly than others. India still lags
behind in globalization of its economy.
LEAVE BEHIND: not to take something with you when you leave a place.
She left her purse behind at home.
LEAVE BEHIND: allow a thing to remain at a place when you leave it. He
died leaving behind many problems.
LEAVE BEHIND: reject an idea etc. Let us began afresh  leaving behind
the old plan.
LEFT BEHIND: make no progress. You may be left behind if you do not work hard.
LIE BEHIND: be a real cause of some action. I am trying to find out
