(Preposition)ALONG

BOWL ALONG: to travel fast. They bowed along in the car to the city.
BRING ALONG: bring some with you. She brought along her daughers in the party.
COME ALONG: accompany. She urged me to come along.
COME ALONG: to move or travel along, to appear. She came along the footpath.
COME ALONG: hurry up. The mother urged the child to come along as the
storm had gathered in the sky.
GET ALONG: have good, friendly relations. We are getting along perfectly.
GET ALONG: make progess, cope with a situation. They were getting
along well in their studies.
GO ALONG: go in a particular way and direction. She went along the
wall and then turned left.
HELP ALONG: help something to happen. Many diseases are helped along
by flies and mosquitoes.
JOG ALONG: continue the same job as usual. She jogged along forty
years as a cleark.
JOLLY ALONG: keep somebody in good humour. I jolliled the worker along
to get the work done within a day.
MOVE ALONG: go forward along a path, road etc. They moved along the footpath.
MOVE ALONG: to ask somebody to leave a place and not to stnad there.
The policeman asked the people to move along.
MOVE ALONG: continue a work successfully. The business moved along well.
PUSH ALONG: leave a place. i must push along now. i am already late.
RATTLE ALONG: to shake and produce quick knocking noise. The cart

RUB ALONG: live together in harmony. They all rubbed along together in
the company.
RUN ALONG: go away. Run along and play  in the patio.
SPEED ALONG: to move quickly.The offenders sped off in car.
WADDLE ALONG: walk swimming with a short strps like a duck. She was
waddle along the pavement.
ZIP ALONG: make progress, move along. Gradually the football match zipped along.

GUIDE ALONG/THROUGH/TO:to take something to a place. He guided us to out hotel.
HUMP ALONG/ACROSS/DOWN:to carry something heavy. She could not hump
along the sack of rice.
HURRY ALONG/DOWN:to do something very quickly. I had to hurry down the stairs.
INCH ALONG/AROUND/TOWARDS:to move very slowly. The wounded soldier
inched towards the enemy through the bushes.
LAKE ALONG/ACROSS/UP:to run by taking long steps. The deer loped up in
the forest.
LUMBER AFTER/ALONG/INTO:to move awkwardly. John was seen lumbering
into the corridor.
LURCH ALONG/ACROSS/INTO: to move suddenly sideways or forward. The
boat lurched along sideways.
MARCH ACROSS/ALONG/THROUGH: move quickly with regular and steady
steps. The troops marched across the forest.
MARCH TO/ALONG/INTO:force someone to walk somewhere with you. The
leader made them march to the parliament.
MINCE ACROSS/DOWN/ALONG:to walk in an unnatural fashion, taking short
steps and moving hips. The lady was found minicing across the street.
MUDDLE ALONG/ON:continue doing something without any plan. He mudded
along with his shop without much gain.
ORGANISED IN/ALONG/AROUND:They were organised along caste considerations.
PASS ALONG/DOWN:move along. Please pass along the passage.

the garden.
AMBLE ALONG/ACROSS:walk in a slow or relaxed manner. The stragner
ambled along the road.
BOMB ALONG/DOWN:to move or drive very quickly. The car was bombing
down the narrow street.
BOUNCE ACROSS/ALONG/IN: move with a lot of energy and very quickly .
The girl bounced in the hall.
DRAG ALONG/ON:progress very slowly. The cases in law-courts often drag on.
