severall party-workers.
AFFLICTED BY/WITH: suffer from. the economy was afflicted to the delhi
university.
BESIEGED BY/WITH: surrounded by, assaited with. the fort was beseiged
by the enemy troops.
DISTRACTED BY/WITH: disturbed, made unable to concentrate. she is
distracted with worries  about her future.
REPLACE BY/WITH: use in the place of. John was replaced by Smith on
the board of directors.

ALARMED AT/BY/OVER: worried and afraid. The authorities were alarmed
at the rapidly increasing crimes in the city.
ANNOYED ABOUT/BY/WITH: somewhat angry. Ramesh was annoyed with his
servant for coming late.
APPALLED AT/BY:very shocked and disappointed. we were appalled at the
day light murders.
DISGUSTED AT/BY/WITH:: disappointed, intense feeling of dislike. I was
disgusted by his falsehood.
